About Me
I remember when I was three and my parents put a cake on the table just within my reach. I wanted it so badly and I somehow managed to get my hands in it, then my face! I remember my parents dressing my sister and I in matching outfits for family pictures at the fire station fundraiser. I remember eating papas rellenos at a roadside stand in middle of nowhere Puerto Rico. I remember faces of kids and babies from missions trips. I remember that day in the mountains that a bird pooped on my dad's shirt and the day at the beach when one pooped on my head. I still don't like seagulls. I remember peeking out from behind a corner at our wedding to see if Ryan was in the hallway. I remember our first Christmas as a married couple, we had just moved and I couldn't get out of work to visit family so we stayed home and celebrated alone. I remember waiting on planes and markets with delicious food. I remember road trips and monuments. I remember my pregnancies, how big I grew, the births of both of my children and how little they were not so long ago. I remember details from all the unique places we've lived and the people who were our family while we were there.
I remember the sadness I've felt when picture opportunities were missed and memories weren't captured. When time got away from me and I can no longer remember exactly how I felt or what life was like during that stage of life.
That's what this is about for me. Capturing memories and encouraging people to do the same. Big life changing moments, goofy moments, moments that will embarrass you one day, the 'remember my size' moments. I love to look back and think, I remember when...
